Frequently Asked Questions

Do you have function rooms for hire?

Yes the Front Room & Late Lounge are popular choices for people looking for function room hire in Rhyl North Wales.

We have three function rooms, Late Lounge with a comfortable capacity of 320, Lounge Bar with a comfortable capacity of 120 and Roof Terrace which has a capacity of 30 people. 

We can offer all manner of services from Buffets, Bouncy Castles for children’s parties and waitress or self-service.  Check out our function rooms and you can also check availability and reserve your date online.

Do you have a function room with disabled access?

Yes we do in the ground floor main bar ‘Front Room Bar’ and the ground floor private function room ‘The Lounge Bar’

What time are children allowed in until at private functions?

Children allowed in until 11pm at private functions

Can we decorate the room the night before?

We always advise to contact us in the coming days before your event and we will be able to tell you if the room is booked out the night before, if it isn’t then you can call in the night before to decorate

What time can we come in to decorate the room on the day?

We usually ask if you can check with us the day before and it depends if your party is a daytime or evening event but usually a couple of hours prior or earlier if the room is not hired out prior

Does the venue provide decorations?

No we always ask can the customer provide their own decorations

Can I put my own decorations up?

Yes but we request that you use blu tac to pin anything up and not Sellotape or pins as they damage the décor. We also don’t allow confetti to be used

Can we bring our own DJ?

Yes you can

Does the DJ need to bring his own equipment?

Yes the DJ will need to bring their own laptop, decks etc to plug into our sound system

If we don’t bring our own dj can we play our own music?

Yes you can, you would just need to bring your own laptop and playlist

If you provide a DJ how long does he play for?

If we provide a house DJ play tim is approx 5 hours

Do you provide background music for a wake?

Yes we can provide background music for wakes.  More information Room Hire for Wakes

What age group can go on the indoor bouncy castle?

 7 years old and younger only

Can I bring my own juices in for a childrens party?

Unfortunately no, we provide a variety of childrens soft drinks at the bar and we don’t allow any kind of drinks to be brought into the venue.

Is there enough space in the upstairs function room to bring my own soft play area?

Yes, we would also recommend that you call in to view the room

What type of events can't I hire a room for?

At Front Room Rhyl, we cater to a wide array of events and are proud to offer versatile spaces that can be tailored to meet your specific needs. There are very few event types that we cannot accommodate. Our venues are perfect for:

The only limitations we have are those that ensure the safety and comfort of all our guests, so please reach out with your event details, and we will do our utmost to host your gathering.

Can we bring our own food

Yes

Can I bring a sweetcart and my own entertainment?

Yes

What time do you close?

Either 1am or 4am depending on what events are on.

Do I have to pay a deposit on top of the room hire charge?

The deposit isn’t an additional charge, it’s a part payment to secure the room and is deducted from your total cost

Is the function room secured solely to me and no members of the public are allowed in?

Yes

When does the full amount need to be paid?

7 days before the party date.

Can we call into view the room prior to booking?

 Yes

Can I get served at an 18th birthday party if I don’t have my ID?

We have a challenge 25 policy in place, if you look under the age of 25 then you will be asked for ID, if you don’t have ID then you wouldn’t be served and will be asked to leave

Is there a bar, toilets and disco lighting in the function rooms

Yes we have a bar and disco lighting
